4fifty Sports began with a simple frustration shared by every South African club committee: the kit never arrives on time. Order from overseas and you wait twelve weeks. Order from a local printer and the colour cracks after a season. So in Johannesburg, we built a factory floor — sublimation press, cutting tables, industrial machines — under one roof, and named the line 4fifty.

4fifty’s hero offering is the Custom Concept division. The brief is wide open — any sport, any garment, any design. Cycling, rugby, football, hockey, running, triathlon, and the ideas you haven’t named yet. Alongside custom, we run a cycling range built to the same standard as our Tactic partners in Girona, and a small stock collection (4fifty Core and 4fifty Heritage) for clubs who need kit on the shelf today. Minimum orders on custom start at ten units, turnaround is three to four weeks, and every jersey is sublimated, cut, stitched, and quality-checked by name. Local manufacturing is not a marketing line for us — it is the entire operating model.

As 4fifty’s reputation grew, riders began asking the harder question: where do we buy a premium jersey off the shelf, in South Africa, without import duties and freight surprises? We flew to Girona, sat with the team at Tactic, and came home as their exclusive Southern African importer. Tactic’s primary craft is custom cycling apparel — designed and cut in Girona since 1998. Twenty-five years of Catalan pattern work, Italian fabrics, KING chamois from Elastic Interface — now in our Johannesburg warehouse as a curated stock collection.

The two lines do different work. 4fifty is your team’s kit, made to order, in your colours — for any sport, on a Custom Concept brief. Tactic is your personal jersey, ready to ship, off the peg — or, for clubs who want it, a European custom build routed through Girona. Both are held to the same standard: patterns that fit real South African bodies, fabrics that survive a Highveld summer, finishes that hold up after the fifth wash.
